Location:
Lima is the largest city in Peru, a metropolis of almost nine million people. Despite its size, Lima embraces the natural, exotic beauty of the Latin American landscape. The size of the city and its desert coast overlooking the Pacific ocean is ideal for students who prefer an urban experience. You'll find stunning ocean views, colonial-era buildings, and a fun, local spirit.

Lima has one of the largest concentration of colleges and universities in South America. It's easy to see why so many students flock to its streets. Lima is a financial hub for the continent, making it a great spot for any business student. Likewise, its important contributions to art, literature, architecture, and history create a haven for any student of humanities. Want to embark on intercultural studies? Calle Capon and the largest ethnic Chinese community in Latin America may interest you. Plus, there's the city’s distinctive Afro-Peruvian music. For history seekers, you can easily travel just outside Lima's borders to delve into pre-Columbian sites. You don’t have to study culinary arts to revel in the famously excellent Peruvian food. From fresh ceviche to chifa cuisine and its blend of Chinese and Peruvian influences, there's so much to tempt your palate.

By spending a semester in Lima, you're giving yourself access to Lima’s treasures, such as funky Barranco, colonial Plaza de Armas, seaside Miraflores, great surf spots, stunning sunsets, and an amazing climate. Take home colorful, inexpensive local crafts and an unforgettable experience at a phenomenal university.
