AIFS Study Abroad in Buenos Aires, Jewish Latin America Program: Fall or Spring Semester Earn up to 16 credits through a variety of courses when you study with AIFS in Buenos Aires, Argentina. AIFS in Buenos Aires offers a unique Jewish Studies program in conjunction with the University of Connecticut. The Jewish Latin America Program offers courses in Jewish history and literature in Latin America, with a focus on human rights and migration. In addition students take a Spanish language course and one or two other electives. Students have the option of an Early Start Intensive Spanish Language and Culture Course to improve their Spanish and prepare for the semester. Volunteer opportunities are also available. You may choose to live in a homestay located within the best areas of the city and enjoy activities such as guided tours of La Boca and Recoleta Cemetery, tango nights and mate get-togethers. A day trip to Colonia del Sacramento, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Uruguay, is included. Optional excursions include a 3-day trip to Iguazu Falls, and a 2-day trip to a traditional Argentinean gaucho ranch. AIFS is recognized as the premium provider of study abroad programs. Our all-inclusive program fees cover tuition and housing with $800,000 in scholarship and grant funding available each year. A meal plan, tours and excursions, insurance and 24-hour emergency service are also included. Since 1964, over 1.5 million students have traveled abroad with AIFS.
