Why Athena’s Paris?

If you’re interested in the arts, look no further. This exclusive Athena program will give you the opportunity to learn from local artists and experience life in Paris as a true Parisian. This program isn’t called “Inside the Parisian Studio’” for nothing! Students have unprecedented access to the tight-knit artist community in Paris, giving students a true behind the scenes perspective of what it means to be an artist, as well as the ‘business of being an artist’ (marketing/branding yourself as an artist and your art, finding gallery space, budgeting, and more). With the small class sizes you are sure to get one-on-one instruction and will no doubt be inspired!

What separates this program from other Paris programs is our personalization, and working Parisians giving you access to their world. Get hands-on experience working alongside professionals in their studios and witness the creative process. If you’re not comfortable being just a number, then this program is for you!

The Directors at PICA in partnership with Athena collaborated with Whittier College in CA to develop a study abroad program in Paris that provides an immersive liberal arts program that is accessible to students of all academic, artistic, and French language levels. Students will use Paris as their classroom, with museums, working studios, and excursions being a primary part of their learning experience.
